DEER LEASE # 2,400 acres With Camp House (90 minutes from the DFW or OK City.
2400 acre family ranch just became available. Ranch is just across the Red River. Driving time from DFW metro north is 1.45 hours.
The ranch is close to 2400 acres. It has been in the family for several generations. Only the family and their guests have hunted it in the past 20 years. Now all of the kids and grandkids have moved off to the city and are not using it.
It's secluded. It sits at the end of 7 mile gravel road. There is only one way in. None of the property is anywhere close to another road. Most of the surrounding land is large farms.
It's big. The property measures approx.. 2 miles by 1 1/2 miles.
Lack of hunting pressure. The property on the south side of the ranch does have deer hunters but most of the surrounding properties are not being hunted or guided hunts only. Again, only the family has been hunting the property and they weren't using it much.
Great habitat. The ranch has an arm of Mud Creek running through it. There is about 3 1/2 miles of creek bottom with lots of thick cover and hard woods. Great places to hang bow stands. The other areas are mostly mesquite covered hills. There are several ponds and a 60 acre wheat field near the east fence.
Its gamey. The ranch has everything: dove, deer, pigs, quail, turkey, and some of the ponds are stocked. I have seen some really nice deer in this area of Oklahoma.
Its ready to hunt: There are a couple of very nice stands that the family was using with feeders that would just need to be filled up. The old farm house on the property comes with the hunting lease. It has 2 bedrooms, full kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator. Full bath with shower. The electric, gas and water is included in the lease. There is an area behind the house that we could put RVs if needed.
Its not too far away. From DFW airport it would just a little less than 2 hours drive to the front gate
